I’m a lawyer-linguist and a certified translator in German, English, and French. I primarily work in supporting German individuals moving to Canada, lawyers, legal & HR departments, and operational managers in gaining international success by ensuring that their documents have been accurately translated. I always promise my clients that by working with me, they will receive quality work delivered in a timely manner. Too often I’ve seen people refused by Immigration, Refugess and Citizenship Canada. Equally, firms and businesses lose unnecessary time and money because meetings, negotiations, proceedings, etc., dragged on for too long because of the misplacement of a word or the lack of clarification. When such mistakes are made, it leaves a firm or business open to liability, humiliation, more costs, potentially having to rebrand and in a worst-case scenario, a failed expansion strategy. I’m here to make sure this doesn’t happen to you. I’m extremely passionate about the work that I do and I ensure that it translates into the quality of my work.

I am an attorney qualified in Germany and licensed as a foreign legal consultant in Colorado, USA. I advise domestic and international clients on all types of German legal matters, mainly in the fields of Employment and Labor Law, Inheritance Law and Immigration Law. ​ Being able to explain German legal procedures to American and/or International clients in their native language is a big comforting factor to many of my clients. I am fluent in German, English and Italian. German clients appreciate the international perspective and experience of my profession. Due to the cooperation with the law firm Hösl, Hösl & Dr. Hösl, we are able to enforce German claims before all German courts as well. I have gained my legal experience working for international law firms in Berlin, Munich and London. ​​

Kiwon Sung is a seasoned counsel (licensed in both California and Korea) who understands what a corporate legal team needs. Kiwon's practice focuses on the representation of companies in business transactions and counseling involving intellectual property and technology, including licensing, development agreements, distribution and commercialization activities, joint ventures, outsourcing, and other service arrangements. Kiwon has extensive experience in cross-border deals as well as in assisting companies with mergers, acquisitions, and other complex business transactions involving technology and intellectual property that protect enterprise value. He regularly advises clients on a wide range of complex transactions involving patents and technology, including structuring and negotiating strategic licensing, development, collaboration, procurement, and distribution deals. Prior to establishing Lee & Sung, Kiwon worked at a recognized litigation law firm in Los Angeles. He has litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in actions addressing a range of claims, including patent infringement, entertainment, breach of contract, and probate issues. He has also helped clients in handling, among other things, dispositive motions, e-discovery, and pre-trial preparation. Kiwon has been practicing law since 2012, and he worked as general counsel for legal affairs at the automotive electronics company of Korea’s second largest conglomerate. Kiwon received his B.S. degree from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), graduating with honors. He earned his J.D. degree from the Sungkyunkwan University, and his LL.M. degree with a specialization in Media, Entertainment & Technology Law and Policy from the University of California at Los Angeles. Kiwon also served in the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) as a Korea-US liaison soldier (KATUSA).
